The Rockhampton Youth Orchestra Inc. (RYO Inc.) offers room hire at the Walter Reid Cultural Centre for individuals and community groups seeking rehearsal or small event spaces. Our rooms are available at affordable rates and equipped with pianos, percussion instruments, and music stands.

Whether you’re a solo musician, ensemble, or community group, our facilities provide a convenient and well-maintained space in the heart of Rockhampton’s cultural hub.

Available Rooms and Hire Fees (2025)

RYO Room – Room 1.5 (Large Room, 174m²)

• $20 per hour or $200 per day (GST not applicable)

• Piano hire:

  • $25 per day (one piano)

  • $35 per day (two pianos – grand and upright)

• Percussion hire: $25 per hire period

• Music stands supplied free of charge
  
  

RCMS Room – Room 1.3 (Small Room, 6.7m x 4m)

• $10 per hour or $100 per day

• Piano hire: $25 per day (upright piano)

• Music stands supplied free of charge
  
  

Additional Charges

• Cleaning products & PPE: $5.00

• If cleaning not completed: $40.00
  
  

Note: You must hold your own Public Liability Insurance and provide a current copy with your booking request.
